The aim of this workshop is to provide you with the hands on, basic skills to create a webpage using HTML tags and notepad, but more importantly to help you understand the background to web page design, the methods and terminology used.

 

This workshop will help you to:

•  Understand and edit your own site
• Edit code in content managed websites to insert amongst other things, you tube videos or google analytics
• See and understand the code behind your competitor’s site
• Identify and recognize the important areas to add search engine friendly terms
• understand the options/routes for creating a website, software, content management etc.
• looks at costs for domain names and website hosting

The course will cover HTML programming and related issues, to allow the participants to understand how web pages are created, accessed and displayed. By the end of the course attendees should be able to create a web page, but just as important they will have a thorough understanding of the processes involved.
