What is PPC or Pay per click?
You will have noticed on search engine results pages a sponsored links section invariably at the top and down the right hand side of the page. These sponsored links are PPC adverts, essentially a business will create the advert and determine what they are prepared to pay for each click through to their website. When you or I click on one of these sponsored ads that business will be charged a small fee and we will be directed to their webpage. Please note the costs per click can vary greatly depending upon businesses competing for the term. Expect to pay a minimum fee for around £0.10 to around £1.00 per click through, although I have seen some ads costing over £30.00 per click.
How does PPC – pay per click work?
Typically a business would register with the provider, (Google, Yahoo, Bing, Facebook etc) creating an account. The business would then create an ad which will be displayed in the sponsored links section, then by using the keyword research tools determine the terms you would like to bid for. Once these terms have been selected you then set your maximum bid per term or the position within the ads that you would like your ad to appear. You can then decide whether to pay a set amount per day or a set capital figure, your ads will then display until these limits have been reached.
Are PPC – pay per click ads effective?
If carefully managed PPC can be very effective as it will drive targeted visitors to your site the aim is to monitor the effectiveness of each term. Some terms may drive a large amount of traffic to your site but produce little in the way of business, others will bring perhaps fewer traffic numbers but will have a high conversion ratio making you sales.
How Kanyo can help manage your PPC campaign
Kanyo has created many PPC campaigns over the years and built up a vast knowledgebase, we will do a thorough keyword research to help you to find keywords that can increase conversion rates and reduce competition. The aim being that you do not waste money on bidding for poorly converting terms.
Our PPC campaigns are developed with tight controls and keyword research. PPC adverts are effective only if they are monitored and tweaked properly from time to time. Our aim would be to monitor and report on your PPC campaign frequently. By monitoring the keyword usage of internet users, we make changes to your PPC campaign to reflect these current trends and preference of your potential clients.
As mentioned above PPC campaigns are powerful effective marketing tools and advertisement route UK companies, however if not carefully monitored, these campaigns can easily exceed your budget. Kanyo will ensure that your marketing campaign will keep within your agreed budget and achieve high value for money click throughs.
